About the Supply Chain game
To be competitive, organizations needs to focus on the complete supply chain, not only their own business.
It is increasingly important that the supply chain the business is part of is effective.
Supply chains are complex. The problem is that the working if individual companies along a supply chain are often invisible to the other companies along the chain.
By looking at the whole supply chain the potentials, problems and possibilities will be visible.
The game aims to build a deep insight of the complexity of the entire supply chain by simulating the performance of the customer – retailer – distributor – manufacturer – supplier, as illustrated in the process map:
The effect of decisions and activities taken by each actor can be seen and discussed in a non-threatening but fun way.
Key figures (KPIs) for the various actors are followed up. The effect of the participants' decisions and activities are visualized and discussed in the group.
Purpose of the game
The participants will have a common understanding of:
- The supply chains challenges and opportunities
- Industrial dynamics (fluctuations in demand)
- Tools and methods to make the supply chain more efficient
Tools and methods that are covered are Pull, EDI (electronic data interchange), flexibility, Lead time reduction, VMI (vendor managed inventory), Cross-docking and EPOS (electronic point of sales).
The game is developed by Revere in Sweden and is used both by logistics consultants and universities for training purposes.
Three points distinguish this game from others – participants are involved in the actual decision-making, multiple products, and uncertain demands. The game is therefore closer to reality than other simpler games. This will stimulate the participants to create a vision for their own organization’s role in their supply chains.

You can start e-learning when you want. You have access for a year and unlimited attempts to successfully complete multiple-choice exam.

Sissel Pedersen Lundeby is IASSC (International association for Six Sigma certification) accredited trainer associate:

Sissel has a Master in Chemical Engineering and more than 20 years' experience within manufacturing and environmental technology. She has practiced Lean Six Sigma since 2002, completing Black Belt projects and certification through Cytec (2004) and IASSC (2017).
She use Lean Six Sigma to create measurable results and want her course participants to be successful improving their processes. That's why her training focus on practical application.
